How Big Is A 9.0 Earthquake?
Published on Mar 10, 2015
Seismologists
say there's a 37 percent chance a magnitude 8.0 or 9.0 earthquake could
hit Oregon* (and this would include all of the North West Canadian and United States Pacific Coast) in the next 50 years. It's hard to imagine the power of
these earthquakes. So, let's break it down with sand.
* This would include all of the North West Canadian and the United States Pacific Coast from Northern Vancouver Island to Northern California.
